This sunny Saturday Sudbury ladies 2s played IES 2s. Sudbury instantly pitched themselves as the better team and dominated the start of the game, but a scramble from Ipswich saw a lucky goal from the first and only time they entered their half before half time.
The laides came out fighting with particular strength from the juniors Emily, Chloe, Izzy and Annie who held their own against a physical opposition and distributed the ball well. Eventually the incredible teamwork paid off, and Alex snuck the ball through to Amelia in the D who walloped the ball into the back of the net. The intensity increased and Sudbury where hungry for a win, and in true Sudbury fashion with the last touch of the game, Ellen utilised a short corner knock the ball into the back of the net. A 2 -1 win was well deserved, with Chloe earning woman of the match for her great skills on the ball, with coach Mandy our wally of the week for nearly getting sent off for hassling the umpires a minute into the game. A HUGE WELL DONE TO EVERYONE INVOLVED ❤️
