Sudbury ladies ones trekked across half the country to the leafy suburbs of Bedford home of the peri peri shop and the global attraction that is laser world. Upon arrival we set up to warm up in the car park …. as soon as we stepped on the pitch the sweaty men from the previous match took up the dug outs leaving us with 10 minutes warm up time. Within 90 second Bedford split up our half court press leaving them 1 up. However, once we changed our press we managed to get back on track and defended strongly. Player of the match Jersey made some cracking saves keeping us in the game. Sophie and Ami putting their life on the line in the D to stop any further goals. Particular mention to Kirsty and Ellie for outstanding tackling and brilliant balls up the line. There was a close Wally vote between hunter sisters with martha getting thrown across the pitch by a bedford player (how was that not a short!!!) and Maisy’s stick nearly taking out Raisy. Liv made a strong come back from her injury with the support from maya and Becky in the midfield. The forwards consisting of Davina, Daisy and Katie showing their fitness paying off tracking back when transfers were made. The end result was 0-1 however we will come back stronger next time at home 💪💪
